Trust Leads is the data controller for personal data relating to our users (account holders, team members, billing contacts). For lead data that you upload to the platform for validation, we act as a data processor on your behalf — you are the controller of that data.
Legal Bases We Rely On
Contract Performance (Art. 6(1)(b))
Processing your account data, billing data, and usage data is necessary to provide the Trust Leads service you signed up for.
Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f))
Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and aggregated analytics to improve platform reliability. We conduct a balancing test to ensure our interests do not override your rights.
Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))
Retention of billing records and audit logs as required by financial and tax regulations.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a))
Optional analytics cookies and marketing communications. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Your Rights Under GDPR
Right of Access (Art. 15)
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, including the purposes of processing, categories of data, and any third parties we share it with.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16)
Request that inaccurate or incomplete personal data be corrected. You can update most account details directly in your Settings page.
Right to Erasure (Art. 17)
Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations (e.g. billing records). Delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone to initiate this.
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20)
Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (JSON/CSV) and transfer it to another controller.
Right to Restriction (Art. 18)
Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances — for example, while you contest the accuracy of data.
Right to Object (Art. 21)
Object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of the above rights, email privacy@trustleads.aiwith the subject line starting with "Data Subject Request". Please include:
- Your full name and account email address
- The specific right you wish to exercise
- Any relevant details to help us locate your data
We will acknowledge your request within 72 hours and respond in full within 30 calendar days. For complex requests, we may extend this to 90 days with prior notice.
We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not charge a fee unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Lead Data — Your Responsibilities as Controller
When you upload contact lists to Trust Leads, you are the data controller of that data. You are responsible for:
- Having a lawful basis to process the contacts' personal data
- Responding to data subject requests from contacts in your lists
- Ensuring your use of enriched data complies with applicable law
We process uploaded lead data only to fulfil your enrichment request. Lead files are automatically deleted 30 days after job completion. For enterprise-level data processing arrangements, contact us to execute a formal Data Processing Agreement.
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by GDPR Article 33. The notification will include the nature of the breach, categories and approximate number of individuals affected, likely consequences, and measures we are taking.
Complaints & Supervisory Authority
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data or your rights request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority:
